Leaves of Life Now Offers Lab Services!

lab3Drum roll please…we’re excited to announce that Leaves of Life now offers onsite lab services! This has been a long term goal for our practice, and it’s finally a reality!

Not only is this a private and convenient in-office option for patients, but it will improve processing times and help reduce frustrating redraws.Having a lab on-site means that Leaves of Life has more influence on the quality of your lab experience and directly improves our access to essential health information.

You may be wondering who will be running our new lab. I’m thrilled to introduce Anne Puckett as the newest addition to our healing machine. Anne comes to us not only with great technical skills but also a passion for natural health. Though she won’t actually ‘treat’ patients, it was still important that we find someone whose philosophy matched our approach at Leaves of Life, and we’ve definitely found a match in Anne!

What You Can Expect From Our New Lab

Once your practitioner has decided you need a blood draw or other testing, the process is pretty simple. Patients can work with the front desk staff to get lab time scheduled – or if there’s no fasting or special preparation required, they may be able to complete lab work at the office that day.

We look forward to expanding our lab services on an ongoing basis. We currently offer the following services and tests:

  • Blood draws
  • Blood typing
  • Blood spot test
  • Blood glucose
  • CBC
  • Cholesterol profiles
  • Lyme disease testing
  • Nitrous oxide tests
  • Sulfite tests
  • Urinalysis
  • Urine cultures
  • Various stool tests
  • And coming soon… we hope to begin offering injections, including Vitamin B12 and Kenalog (Kenalog can be included as part of an anti-inflammatory protocol).

Meet Anne Puckett

Picture3Anne Puckett is a graduate of the CMA program at Ohio Business College. She comes to the Leaves of Life practice with a well-developed career in customer service and allied health – including specific experience with disabilities, Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Like many staff members at Leaves of Life, Anne developed an interest in naturopathic medicine several years ago after experiencing profound healing from simple dietary changes and natural remedies. From there, she became interested in applying her experience in a holistically-oriented environment – which eventually led her to the Leaves of Life team!

Anne enjoys spending time with her husband and cats. In her free time, she loves crafting, reading, singing, cleaning/organizing, playing the piano and learning new languages.

Be sure to say hello to Anne the next time you’re in the office!

I’m Brad –  the content editor for Leaves of Life. I live in the middle of downtown Columbus with my dog, Ike.

I’ve been on my own journey to better health for quite a while now. I’ve known Patty for nearly 15 years, and in that time, I’ve been challenged to re-examine my own habits and practices. I’ve discovered that although traditional tests didn’t show it, I have a gluten sensitivity – so I’m all about finding alternative recipes and gluten free substitutes.

My husband and I reside in Powell with our 2 labradoodles.  Between us we share four children, ages 25-29, a daughter-in-law and a two-year-old granddaughter.  Prior to coming to LOL, I worked in retail management and recruiting, and we owned a weight loss business that I managed.  I have always been interested in health and wellness, so Leaves of Life is an excellent fit.  I now take daily supplements, have done a few detoxes, exercise daily and have completely changed my diet.  My new healthier lifestyle has helped me shed extra weight, and I feel great!
