Helping Kids Eat Healthy

Let’s talk about one of the most crucial aspects of your child's day: their lunch!

Children need good nutrition to support growth, learning and development. Studies show there is a significant connection between nutrition and students’ academic and sports performance.

A healthy, balanced diet is one of the cornerstones of our practice, yet we know many families are on the go with school sports and other activities, so we decided to share some easy and fun ideas for balanced, packable lunches. These could also be dinners on the go! The goal is to aim for a variety of colors, plus 30% healthy fats, 30% protein and 40% fiber (some foods fall into more than one category). This type of combination is nutritionally dense and promotes balanced blood sugar and healthy digestive function. Here are some ideas:
